About the event
A collaborative event with the Amador Wine Heritage District, Behind the Cellar Door is a weekend filled with delectable food pairings, glimpses behind the scenes of winemaking and grape-growing, and hard-to-find wines all in an intimate Amador Wine Country setting!
Guests receive a commemorative wine glass for your weekend tastings, as well as thoughtful food pairings, educational content and demonstrations guaranteed to enhance your knowledge and appreciation of Amador wines. When purchasing your ticket, choose your starting winery where, on event day, you will pick up your wristband, event program and wine glass. We recommend you book your tasting at Turley at 11am to fully maximize your experience with a seated seminar. If you prefer a quieter tasting experience, join us first thing doors open at 10:30am.
WHat we’re doing
Did you know that Turley Wine Cellars works with more old vine vineyards than any other winery in the world? None of this would be possible without the “Old Vines” wine, home to fruit sourced from these many salvaged old-vine sites across California. If it weren’t for this cuvée, many of these vineyards would have been lost, along with over a century of our cultural heritage.
Make your reservation for 11am and join our DTC Operations Manager, Allison Caruso, for a curated seminar highlighting a handful of our wines from centenarian vineyards.
