Join us at the Amador tasting room, Saturday July 20th, to celebrate the release of our two Amador tasting-room-only exclusives:
2017 Turley "Rorick Vineyard" Zinfandel – Calaveras County, 1 barrel produced
Grown on a steep slope of primarily Schist and Limestone soils at 1850’ in Calaveras County, and farmed by our good friend Matthew Rorick, this site’s rugged locale makes for a richly textured and charismatic wine unlike anything else found in the Foothills. We produced a meager 37 cases of this wine, and it is only available in the Amador Tasting Room. Limit 3 bottles per customer.
— and the first vintage ever of —
2017 Turley "Caruso Vineyard" Zinfandel – El Dorado County, 1 barrel produced
Planted just above 2100’ on a sandy ridge line in El Dorado County, this small and remote vineyard is bordered by the North and Middle Forks of the Consumnes River and is teeming with natural wildlife and biodiversity. Higher in elevation and further East into the Sierra Nevada Range than our Amador bottlings, this site is more exposed to elemental extremes and receives regular snow in winter months! The two-acre and steeply contoured South-facing Zinfandel terraces produce a wine with focused minerality, fine tannins (hello granite sand!), and floral aromatics. Only available in the Amador Tasting Room; 40 cases produced. Limit 3 bottles per customer.
Special one-barrel production tasting available: 10am – 5pm
Live music by John Eldridge: 11am – 3pm
Tasting fee is $10 per person and waived with a 2 bottle purchase.
Active Mailing List members receive 2 complimentary tastings.
Reservations not required for parties of 8 or less.
