The summer solstice is soon upon us! Known to many as Midsummer, Litha, and the Feast of St. John the Baptist, but for us here at the Amador tasting room, it’s also our anniversary. It’s a time when we light the schwenker’s fire, feast and dance, and open those special wines that we have been saving all year.
We’ve been planning an evening celebration that honors Larry’s favorite ritual of grilling outdoors and sharing Zinfandels. Our menu is simple and consists of local summer produce and roasted meats. It will be served family style and served by the faces you recognize most from your visits to Amador. Most importantly, it includes the debut of our limited production and tasting room only wines
2017 Bechtold Vineyard Cinsault, Lodi $20
2016 Rinaldi Vineyard Zinfandel, Amador $38
2016 Cedarville Vineyard Zinfandel, El Dorado $38 (1 barrel produced – purchases limited to 3 bottles)
2016 Rorick Vineyard Zinfandel, Calaveras $38 (1 barrel produced – purchases limited to 3 bottles)
*Quantities of wines are extremely limited, and may sell out during this event.
